Medicated
Look who's talking! Rush Limbaugh attacked Parkinson Disease sufferer Michael J. Fox of ""either (being) off his medication or acting'' because Fox is backing a Missouri Democrat in favor off stem-cell research. Limbaugh didn't like Fox saying "What you do in Missouri matters to millions of Americans _ Americans like me.'' Limbaugh, who "acts'' horrified at drug addiction, required rehabilitation for addiction to "medication.'' Is it time for Limbaugh to retire?

I don't remember Rush calling Michael J. Fox a political hack when Fox made a similar ad in support of Sen. Arlen Spector, R-Pa., a couple of years ago. Do you?
I'm thinking maybe it's Rush showing his partisan hackery stripes and pretending to be "a regular guy" on an allegedly objective news media.
What makes Rush the medical authority on Parkinson's, as he pretends to be? Who listens to him? Who takes an acclaimed and continuing (he said as much on air!) drug-addict's word for it that Michael J. Fox is faking it?
Stem-cell research isn't a partisan issue, anyway. It's ONLY a White House issue.
Remember, the bill supporting federal funding of it passed by large majorities in both the House and Senate. It was just short of veto-proof, the one and only act of defiance His Royal Unitary Executive Authority has derailed.
The national loss is New Jersey's gain, IMHO. We're investing on the ground floor in a market that looks like it will be both morally and commercially rewarding.
P.S. What do you think of the anti's mischaracterization that it is "cloning"? When will we see the ads featuring scenes from "The Island of Dr. Moreau"?
The Republicans' "return fire" ad is even more amazing, I think, with the Jesus actor (Jim Cavaziel?) speaking only in babble meant, I suppose, to fake/act Aramaic? Is it any wonder they didn't use Mel, now that he has alienated every Jewish voter in America? But the Jesus actor, now that's a coup, dont'cha think?
That Jesus ad just left me on the floor laughing my butt off. It's the na-na-na-na-na, we have the Jesus actor, schoolyard comeback most of us outgrew in the third-grade. Some partisan hacks have no shame -- none at all -- I'm now convinced.
