No Sale

July 6, 2006

Is there anything more irritating than arriving at the movie theater in a timely fashion to get a good seat, then having to sit through at least 15 minutes of COMMERCIALS (followed by endless trailers and theater infomercials)? Having fled TV to avoid being hammered with ads, audiences are now assaulted at the movie theater. I think it stinks! What's your opinion?

You are absolutely right. It stinks. (As does the ridiculously high price for movies, especially when they turn out to be not worth seeing at all.) At the very least, the theaters, when they post starting times, should give the time the pictures start and not when the commercials start.

The worst part: Being almost done with the popcorn and soda just as the movie starts, because you're munching on them out of sheer boredom during the 15 minutes of commercials.
